4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share personal information only as follows:

  • Service providers. We use vendors to run the Site and our communications, including Wix (website hosting, forms, contact management, and email marketing). They may process information only to provide services to us.

  • Conference and event partners (name only). We may share your name, and no other information, with conference or event partners, such as the organizers of Energy & Mobility, solely to confirm whether you are a member of the HVDC America coalition. We do not share your email address, employer, role, or any other details for this purpose, and the partner may not use your name for any other purpose.

  • Coalition leadership and administrators. Information you submit is available to the people who administer HVDC America and its working groups.

  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HVDC America, our members, or others.

  • Business changes. If HVDC America is involved in a merger, reorganization, or transfer of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

  • With your consent, or at your direction.

Other than the name-only membership verification described above, we do not publish or disclose the names or contact details of individual signups without your permission.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, including those provided by Wix, to make the Site work, remember preferences, and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site may not work as intended. Where required, we will ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies. Some browsers offer a "Global Privacy Control" or similar opt-out signal; we honor such signals where required by law.

6. Third-Party Links

The Site links to other sites, including LinkedIn and the Energy & Mobility 2027 conference materials. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to run the coalition, send the communications you requested, and meet legal, accounting, or reporting needs. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that request so we honor it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 9).

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, and our Site uses encryption (HTTPS) in transit. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You may contact us at any time to ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of emails. We will verify your request before acting on it and respond within the time required by law.
